Dubai: Newly launched in the Middle East online gifting marketplace, Flowwow commemorates the season with spring’s most iconic flower, peonies. As they only come into bloom for 3 months a year and hold such significant symbolisms in many cultures – the flower market is flooded with peonies for sale during this period.
The season of spring is known to be that of transformation, new beginnings, and regeneration. As flowers go dormant in winter, Spring is known as a time of rebirth, when flowers bloom, the days get longer, and the trees and flowers start blooming again. To celebrate this beautiful season, this year Flowwow will be stocking up to 12K peonies for sale, ensuring no flower is gone to waste and gets a chance to bring the lightness of spring to someone’s life.
Just last Spring, Flowwow recorded a sale of 7.1K Peony bouquets worldwide, and is expecting to distribute twice this number of peony-focused bouquets, providing customers from up to 15,000 to 20,000 products to choose from globally. 3000 artisans across 13 countries will participate in Peonymania Festival – crafting thousands of bouquets featuring the coveted stem. Currently, Flowwow is home to 11,000+ local brands from 1000+ cities across the globe and is aiming for further GCC and MENA coverage soon. With such a breadth of craftspeople involved, Flowwow promises to showcase the most luxurious and largest bouquet of peonies in Dubai, the most refined in London, and the most minimalistic in Poland.
In honor of Peonymania, The Flowwow experts have also gathered interesting facts about the stem peonies, which only deepens our fascination in them. In China, the flower represents wealth, fortune and abundance and is considered as one of the most beautiful flowers in the country, in fact it is said that it was a flower much revered by Chinese emperors. Whereas in Japan, it is said the flower is known for honor and bravery, also a popular flower choice for weddings as it is believed it will bring good luck and fortune to the newlyweds. In general, the flowers stand for love, happiness, wealth, good fortune and even romance.
Peonies come in up to 6,500 varieties and varied colors which is what makes them so special – each color representing something different. The pink hued peonies seem to be the most popular choice amongst customers; however, it is said that the red peonies are the “highest ranking” – whereas the unique purple ones connote luxury in addition to healing, spirituality, and magic.
