Sharjah, UAE: The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) is set to make a significant impact at the upcoming 32nd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, scheduled to run from May 22nd to May 28th. The EPA plans to use this platform to showcase its innovative digital library, Menassah, featuring an impressive collection of over 14,300 books.
With the participation of 40 esteemed Emirati publishers, the EPA is set to unveil 438 meticulously curated titles, aiming to captivate publishers, academics, authors, and fair attendees alike. Their goal is to shed light on the remarkable achievements of Emirati publishing houses while promoting a culture of reading across all segments of society.
The EPA’s commitment to catering to diverse interests from various nationalities and age groups enriches the knowledge landscape in the UAE, further strengthening the pivotal role of the publishing sector in societal, cultural, and economic development.
Abdullah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Publishers Association, highlighted the association’s dedication to enhancing the UAE’s cultural and intellectual fabric through its participation in the book fair. He stressed the importance of fostering meaningful partnerships during this event, enabling members to contribute significantly to the growth of the publishing industry in the UAE.
The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will also offer Emirati EPA member publishers opportunities to engage in matchmaking sessions with publishers from various countries, including Turkey and China. These sessions are designed to facilitate discussions on potential copyright transactions and book acquisitions, fostering international collaborations and expanding the reach of Emirati publications.
In addition to its presence on the exhibition floor, the Emirates Publishers Association will host informative sessions and workshops for industry professionals.
