Field Visits
Major Dr. Khaled Al Mazrouei, Head of the Innovation Labs Section at the Knowledge and Innovation Development Department in the General Department of Administrative Affairs, said that the ‘Innovation and Development’ diploma is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical training. “All participants will also have the opportunity to visit specialized technology companies abroad and explore international best practices in the field of technology,” he added.
Continuing his remarks, Al Mazrouei highlighted that the diploma has already celebrated the graduation of 100 graduates since its launch in 2020. “The selection process for admission to the diploma is rigorous and includes strict criteria and testing. Those who successfully pass the tests are accepted into the program and move on to the practical aspect at the Dubai Police’s Innovation Labs to work on innovative projects subjected to a preliminary evaluation of their viability and potential impact. Once approved, the projects are implemented, and their success is evaluated through an initial assessment. Finally, a comprehensive evaluation is conducted to measure the effectiveness and impact of the projects, followed by the cohort’s graduation at the end of the year,” he continued.
The “Innovation and Development” police diploma is a testament to Dubai Police’s unwavering commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation and providing the best possible services to the community by equipping its workforce with the innovative tools to maintain safety and security, Al Mazrouei concluded.
