Brandon King’s Maiden Century Guides West Indies to 7-Wicket Victory over UAE

Sharjah, UAE: West Indies comfortably win the series opener against UAE by seven wickets in a one-day international match.

Brandon King impresses with his first century, scoring a run-a-ball 112, while Shamarh Brooks contributes 44 runs.

Captain Shai Hope seals the victory with an unbeaten 13, hitting the winning runs with a six. West Indies chases down the target of 206 runs with 88 balls to spare, giving coach Daren Sammy a successful start.

UAE, batting first, is bowled out for 202 runs with paceman Keemo Paul taking three wickets.

The second one-day international is scheduled for Tuesday in Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

These matches serve as preparation for the upcoming Cricket World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
