Ajman, UAE: The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) proudly received a delegation of academy teams participating in the sixth edition of the Gulf Football Academies. His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, graciously hosted the teams in the presence of his team at the department.
The tournament started on Friday, July 7, and will continue until Thursday, July 13. Fourteen teams hailing from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, and Iraq have converged at the esteemed Quattro Academy stadiums in the Musheirif district of Ajman. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, and the supervision and organization of the Quattro Sports Center in Ajman, the tournament aims to foster camaraderie among the youth and showcase the exceptional talent exhibited by emerging football players in the region.
During the young teams’ visit to ADTD, His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development conveyed his satisfaction in sponsoring the sixth edition of the tournament, stating, “We are privileged to host the Gulf Football Academies in Ajman. This tournament provides a remarkable platform for young football players to exhibit their skills and foster inter-Gulf sportsmanship. Through events like these, we aim to bolster the development of youth talent and contribute to the growth of the sports tourism sector in the Emirate of Ajman.”
The Gulf Football Academies tournament encompasses two age categories: under 12 years old with six participating teams, and under 14 years old with eight teams representing various academies across the Gulf countries. The event promises a captivating football gathering that unites the region’s youth and showcases their passion and talent.
