Dubai Police’s ‘Your Voice is Heard’ Initiative Strengthens Community Engagement

Dubai, UAE – In a concerted effort to strengthen ties with the community and gather valuable feedback, Major General Expert Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, attended an open meeting as part of Dubai Police’s ‘Your Voice is Heard’ initiative. This initiative is designed to facilitate direct communication with citizens, residents, and partners to enhance the quality of services provided by the force.

The meeting, held at the Al Rashidiya Majlis, was a noteworthy occasion, graced by the presence of Major General Dr. Adel Al Suwaidi, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station and Chairman of the Dubai Police Council for Directors of Police Stations; Major General Abdullah Khadem Srur Al Maasim, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, along with directors of General Departments in the Criminal Investigation Sector, directors of various police stations, senior officers, officials, residents, and partners from the Al Rashidiya Police Station’s jurisdiction.

Maj. Gen. Al Mansoori underscored the significance of effective and constructive direct communication, reaffirming Dubai Police’s unwavering commitment to considering the opinions and suggestions of the Dubai community.

Colonel Saeed Al Madhani, Director of the Al Rashidiya Police Station, elucidated the essence of the “Your Voice is Heard” initiative. Its primary goals encompass raising awareness about the services provided by Dubai Police, establishing effective communication channels with residents in residential areas, building trust in police services, promoting police services, engaging the community in enhancing security, and collecting feedback and suggestions.

Colonel Aref Bishwah, Director of Crime Prevention at the General Department of Criminal Investigations, elaborated on the ‘Policeman in Your Neighbourhood’ initiative. This program serves as a vital bridge between Dubai Police and the community, fostering a strong sense of community, especially through its expansion to include volunteering across various specializations and sectors, thereby bolstering community ties and overall safety.

Colonel Dr. Abdul Rahman Sharaf Al Muamari, Director of Hemaya International Centre at the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, unveiled the objectives of the Hemaya International Centre. He emphasized the importance of awareness programs offered to students in schools and universities and highlighted the numerous events organized for various community segments.

Lieutenant Colonel Majed Al Bardan, Director of the Happiness Service Centre in the General Department of Administrative Affairs, shed light on the diverse community and security services offered by Dubai Police. These services are accessible through police stations, the website, smart app, Smart Police Stations (SPS), and the 901 call center.

As the event came to a close, Major General Khalil Al Mansoori recognized and honored the partners of the Al Rashidiya Police Station. He expressed his wishes for their continued success and looked forward to more collaborative ventures across various sectors. Dubai Police remains committed to fostering open communication and collaboration with the community to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents and visitors.
