Lahore, Pakistan – Peshawar Zalmi, the renowned Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, and the Zalmi Foundation, garnered significant recognition as Chairman Javed Afridi took a special role at the 10th Commonwealth Ministers’ Meeting. The event was organized in commemoration of the Commonwealth Youth Celebration Year and featured a Peace and Courage program facilitated by the Zalmi Foundation.
With delegates from forty-six countries in attendance, the meeting was presided over by the Government of Pakistan and graced by the presence of Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Jalil Abbas Jilani.
The Zalmi Foundation’s highlight contribution to the event was the presentation of the “Peace and Peace Project.” This visionary project aims to propagate a message of peace and positivity through the beloved sport of cricket, underscoring the power of sports in fostering global harmony.
Adding a sporting dimension to the event, an exhibition cricket match was organized under the auspices of the Zalmi Foundation, further emphasizing the organization’s commitment to promoting unity through sports.
In a moment of great pride, the Zalmi Foundation was granted the honor of becoming a part of the Commonwealth network. Chairman Javed Afridi had the privilege of meeting with the Commonwealth Secretary during the event, where he presented a special Zalmi shirt as a symbol of solidarity and goodwill.
