Sharjah’s Prestigious Mushaira Honors Poet Farhat Abbas Shah

Sharjah, UAE – The Overseas Pakistanis United Forum, in a grand celebration of literature and poetry, orchestrated a prestigious Mushaira event at the Pakistan Social Center in Sharjah. The event was held in tribute to the renowned Pakistani poet and writer, Farhat Abbas Shah, and featured an array of talented poets and poetry enthusiasts.

One of the highlights of the event was the special participation of Muhammad Ali Fazal from Oman, who captivated the audience with his poetic prowess. The venue was filled with literature lovers who gathered to immerse themselves in the beauty of words.

The poets who graced the stage with their verses received thunderous applause from the audience, demonstrating the profound appreciation for the art of poetry. The event was presided over by Khalid Hussain Chaudry, President of Pakistan Social Center Sharjah. Also in attendance was Mian Munir Hans, Chairman of the Overseas Pakistani United Forum, and Imad Malik Sharaf Exchange, among other distinguished guests.

In a touching moment, the entire team of Pakistan Social Center Sharjah presented a bouquet of flowers to Farhat Abbas Shah, the poet being honored. Chairman of the Overseas Pakistani United Forum, Mian Munir Hans, announced during the event that a grand gathering would be organized by the United Forum every year. This annual event will feature lectures and the participation of poets from around the world, ensuring the continued celebration of literature and poetry.

The highlight of the evening came when Farhat Abbas Shah himself took the stage to recite his poetry. His unique style and heartfelt verses brought the entire hall to life, resonating with the audience and earning him resounding applause.

Noor ul Sabah, the CEO of Chai Shai Restaurant and Cafe, emphasized the importance of promoting Urdu, the national language of Pakistan. She suggested the organization of a Mushaira event in the UAE to further enhance the exposure and recognition of Urdu, a sentiment that resonated with many in attendance.

The Mushaira event was expertly organized by Chief Organizer Malik Aslam, who also captivated the audience with his distinctive style, further adding to the evening’s charm.

Local poets, including Rana Zaheer Mushtaq, Syed Tabish Zaidi, Ayesha Ashi, Musrat Abbas, Abrar Umar, Adan Manwar, Nasr Naeem, Hussain Nadir, and Zoheer Nawaz Tanoli, shared their poetic creations, contributing to a night filled with artistic inspiration.
