Automechanika Dubai 2023: Middle East’s Premier Auto Aftermarket Expo Opens

Dubai, UAE – The 20th edition of Automechanika Dubai, the largest international trade exhibition for the automotive aftermarket industry in the Middle East, opened today at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event, which is celebrating two decades of success, is expected to attract over 45,000 visitors and features 1938 exhibitors from 61 countries across 14 halls. This year, the event introduces the Lubricants Technology Conference and Innovation4Mobility.

Mattar Al Tayer, Commissioner General for Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Well-Being Pillar and Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai, officially inaugurated the event and visited several stands, including Rhinomotive, Triangle Tyre Co., and Lucas.

Mahmut Gazi Bilikozen, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the event organizer, highlighted the growth of Automechanika Dubai, which has expanded its exhibition space by 64% compared to 2022. The event offers various features like the Automechanika Academy, EV training, and the Automotive Logistics Forum to provide industry insights and market opportunities.

Innovation4Mobility, a new addition to the event, commenced with discussions on “The UAE’s vision of Future Mobility” and consumer preferences in the Electric Vehicles (EV) sector.

The Automechanika Academy featured topics such as “Driving into the future with Electric Vehicles (EV)” and “Tackling the rising challenge of counterfeits in the aftermarket automobile industry,” providing attendees with insights into the automotive aftermarket industry’s current and future trends.

The Modern Workshop, hosted by Bosch, focused on innovative techniques in the sector, with a key emphasis on the calibration of Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for driver safety.

Automechanika Dubai 2023 covers eight specialized product categories, including Parts & Components, Electronics and Systems, Accessories and Customizing, Tires and Batteries, Car Wash and Care, Oils and Lubricants, Diagnostics and Repair, and Body and Paint.
