UAE Show Jumping Team Gears Up for 19th Asian Games

Hangzhou, China – The United Arab Emirates Show Jumping Team has arrived safely in Hangzhou, China, ahead of the 19th Asian Games. They have praised the top-notch facilities and logistics provided by the organizers. The UAE’s rich Equestrian heritage and recent successes on the European circuit have set high expectations for their performance.

The UAE’s formidable team consists of four talented rider-horse combinations:

  1. Abdulla Al Marri riding James VDO Heihoef (owned by Al Shira’aa)
  2. Mohamed Ghanem Al Hajri riding G’s Fabian (owned by Mohamed Ghanem Al Hajri)
  3. Salem Ahmed Al Suwaidi riding Diamond Way (owned by Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club)
  4. Omar Al Marzouqi riding Dalida VD Zuuthoeve (owned by Al Shira’aa)

H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy and Owner of Al Shira’aa, expressed her immense pride in the riders’ dedication and achievements. The Show Jumping events are set to kick off on Tuesday, October 3, with horse inspections and training sessions. The competition will run through October 6, with team medals and individual finals up for grabs. Sheikha Fatima also expressed her gratitude to the team behind the scenes, including GM Alicia MacDonald, Devon Bessette, and various support staff who play crucial roles in the riders’ success.
