Dubai, UAE – Dubai Police’s General Department of Training has received praise from Major General Ahmed Mohammed Rafi, the Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs. During an inspection visit, Maj. Gen. Rafi lauded the department for its innovative approach to personnel development in criminal, traffic, and administrative areas, emphasizing the importance of continuous education for security personnel. He highlighted the department’s significant contributions to enhancing police performance indicators, including efficiency, responsiveness, and the overall sense of security.
Key performance indicators (KPIs) for the General Department of Training in 2022 included an impressive 99% overall satisfaction rate, 100% for developed and improved training programs, an average of 21 training hours per employee, 100% impact measurement, and 100% job satisfaction.
Maj. Gen. Rafi also reviewed the department’s current projects and foresight plan, which encompassed training plans for various areas such as traffic, criminal, administrative, security, crises, and disasters. These plans aim to produce well-qualified individuals capable of addressing the challenges they encounter in their daily work.
Additionally, Maj. Gen. Rafi was briefed on future initiatives and projects, including the fifth phase of the training impact measurement project, evaluation and qualification for “999” and “901” employees, awareness games, virtual shooting training, military virtual training, criminal and traffic investigations, annual trainees’ forums, and more.
The Smart Training Centre of Dubai Police, under Maj. Gen. Rafi’s review, offers 128 interactive training courses, executed 1070 training programs, and employs 609 certified trainers. The centre has delivered a total of 193,663 training hours to 15,263 unique trainees and 75,903 repeated trainees.
Present during the inspection were other senior officers, including Ph.D. Major General Ghaith Ghanim Al Suwaidi, Brigadier Badran Al Shamsi, Brigadier Dr. Saleh Al Hamrani, Brigadier Ahmed Bin Mardas, and several others, highlighting the importance of this comprehensive review of the General Department of Training’s operations and achievements.
