News DeskDubai, UAE – Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, CEO of The Public Transport Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, UAE, has been honored with the Special Recognition Award at the 20th anniversary special edition of Automechanika Dubai. This prestigious award acknowledges Bahrozyan’s remarkable contributions to innovative transportation solutions and world-class services in Dubai.
As CEO of the Public Transport Agency, Bahrozyan oversees the city’s public transport system, building on a distinguished career at RTA, where he previously served as CEO of the Licensing Agency. In this capacity, he managed vehicle registration, licensing operations, and driver training while setting policies and technical standards to ensure road safety. Additionally, Bahrozyan chaired various influential committees, including the Higher Committee for Digital Transformation and Digital Quality of Life and the Supreme Committee for the launch of self-driving taxis.
The award ceremony, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre during the Automechanika Dubai event, recognized outstanding individuals and organizations in the automotive aftermarket sector from around the world. Notable winners included Autobia, GaragePlug, and AutoSmart Technology in new categories such as Start-up of the Year and Digitalization Project of the Year.
In the Product of the Year categories, GS27 PURE by GS27, SSL HD Light by HELLA, and Guniwheel by Martech Car received honors. Additionally, various service providers were recognized, with D Luxe Car Care, Eurodiesel Services LLC, Munich Motor Works, and Al Shirawi Enterprises LLC among the winners.
To commemorate Automechanika Dubai’s 20th year, a special award was presented to Dolphin Manufacturing, Spare Parts & Hardware Co. (SPARCO), and Megacell, who have participated in the exhibition since its inception.
The awards, sponsored by Bridgestone Middle East and Africa, were judged by a panel of industry experts, underscoring the event’s significance in celebrating excellence within the automotive aftermarket industry.
