WCL: Reviving Legends and Rivalries
The World Champion’s League is poised to become a cricketing spectacle like no other, featuring retired and non-contracted players from cricket’s elite nations – England, India, Pakistan, Australia, West Indies, and South Africa. The tournament aims to rekindle some of the sport’s most iconic rivalries, with marquee clashes such as India vs. Pakistan taking center stage. Visionary Leadership
The brainchild of Harshit Tomar, Director of Zabawa Entertainment, the WCL promises to bring together cricketing legends from across the globe. Tomar expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “WCL is set to bring back the India-Pak rivalry of yesteryears and reunite the greats from England, Australia, South Africa & West Indies. England has always been the home of cricket, and when it comes to Birmingham, it is home to many Indians and Pakistanis as well. We are looking forward to delivering ten days of Cricketainment to Fans Globally.”

A Homecoming for Cricket Heroes
Stuart Cain, Chief Executive at Edgbaston, also shared his enthusiasm, saying, “We’ve staged some of the biggest games in world cricket, and it will be great to see some of the heroes involved in those games back at Edgbaston.”

The tournament is scheduled for the summer of 2024, pending approval from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the announcement of the English domestic schedule in November 2023. Edgbaston will serve as the primary venue for the larger group stage matches, semi-finals, and the final, while select group stage games will be hosted at other grounds throughout Warwickshire.
