Ajman, UAE – The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is launching a roadshow in India to showcase Ajman’s unique tourism and entertainment offerings. Led by His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, the delegation will hold meetings with key tourism officials, travel agents, tour operators, and hotel representatives to promote Ajman as a tourism destination and highlight investment opportunities.
Scheduled from October 9 to 13, the roadshow will take place in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. Its primary goal is to establish partnerships and cooperation with India’s tourism sector, attract more tourists and investors to Ajman, boost hotel occupancy rates, and spotlight new projects and developments in the emirate.
His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi expressed the department’s commitment to elevating Ajman’s global tourism status, aligning with the directives of Sheikh AbdulAziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the department, and H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman.
Alhashmi emphasized Ajman Tourism’s efforts to highlight the emirate’s distinctive features and solidify its position as a premier tourist destination in the UAE. This includes showcasing new tourist, heritage, and ecotourism attractions, enriching visitor experiences, supporting sustainable development, and promoting the emirate’s tourism sector.
India holds significant importance as a key market for Ajman, with an increasing number of Indian visitors over the past few years. In fact, the Indian market ranks as the second-largest among international feeder markets for Ajman, accounting for more than 12% of the emirate’s tourists. Recent reports also indicate a notable rise in Indian non-UAE residents visiting Ajman, contributing to a 48% increase in Indian visitors in 2023 compared to 2019, along with a 23% year-over-year increase in their length of stay.
