Dubai, UAE – The second edition of the Bangladesh Education Forum 2023 is set to take place at the Crowne Plaza in Deira, Dubai from October 14-15, 2023. This unique international education roadshow aims to showcase the offerings of 163 Bangladeshi universities and 115 medical colleges to students and parents. The event seeks to attract students from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), particularly the Non-Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) community, who are currently studying in UAE’s private schools and universities.

Bangladeshi higher education institutions offer high-quality education at remarkably cost-effective rates, with tuition fees as low as $500 per semester or $6,000-$8,000 for a four-year Bachelor’s program. Notably, they also provide a five-year MBBS degree for as low as $35,000 to $40,000, making it one of the most affordable accredited MBBS programs in the world.

The event’s organizers hope to attract students interested in pursuing medical, engineering, business, and liberal arts curricula at Bangladesh’s numerous universities, medical colleges, and specialized institutions. Bangladesh, with more than 2,500 higher colleges, including 163 universities and 115 medical colleges, is positioning itself as a cost-effective higher education hub.

The GCC region alone has a substantial population of NRB students exceeding 100,000, creating a significant potential market for Bangladeshi educational institutions. Furthermore, the GCC region’s total school-student population exceeds 1.2 million, providing an opportunity for Bangladesh to enhance its education sector and foreign currency reserves.

The event is well-supported by the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB), which believes that Bangladesh’s education sector is advancing under the guidance of its government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The Bangladesh Education Forum 2023 seeks to bring Bangladeshi universities and medical colleges closer to UAE-based high school students, parents, academicians, and education consultants. The event is expected to elevate Bangladesh’s profile as an attractive destination for higher education, especially for international students.

The event will include panel discussions and seminars covering topics such as the admissions process, student visas, and financial aid. It is jointly organized by Pan Asian Group and Spiral World, with American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) as the Title Sponsor.

Bangladesh’s higher education sector is poised for growth, with a current enrollment of over 4.6 million students. By 2025, this is expected to expand, creating a higher education market size of approximately $4.6 billion, supported by the country’s socio-economic development.
