Mohammed bin Rashid opens GITEX GLOBAL, as the global tech momentum shifts to Dubai

Dubai, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, opened the 43rd edition of GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s largest tech show, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This prestigious event, running from October 16 to 20, 2023, boasts full capacity with 6,000 exhibitors and 180,000 tech executives from 180 nations.

Highlighting the event’s global significance, HH Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the UAE’s role in uniting innovators worldwide to shape the future of technology. With over 6,000 exhibitors participating, GITEX GLOBAL underscores Dubai’s growing reputation as a pivotal hub for the technology industry.

Accompanied by key dignitaries, HH Sheikh Mohammed toured various exhibitor stands, including Etisalat, Huawei, Beyon, Salesforce, G42, Microsoft, and IBM, gaining insights into cutting-edge products and services. Notably, he learned about Etisalat’s 5G Stand Alone network, a technological milestone offering nationwide seamless voice and data services.

GITEX GLOBAL and Expand North Star, the world’s largest start-up event, cover a combined area of 2.7 million sq. ft, showcasing the latest trends in AI, cloud computing, cyber security, climate technology, urbanism, and more.

This year’s event delves into AI innovations, cybersecurity, and sustainability, with the introduction of GITEX Impact and Future Urbanism Expo shows. Additionally, it marks the debut of the GITEX CTO World Congress, focusing on tech innovation and sustainable green technology initiatives.

Leading tech companies like Dell Technologies, Google, Huawei, IBM, and Microsoft are joined by newcomers including Salesforce, Broadcom, Beyon, and Deloitte, making GITEX GLOBAL 2023 a hub for tech giants and startups alike.
