Dubai, UAE – Baseball United, the pioneering professional baseball league focused on the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent, has announced an exciting update for its inaugural Dubai Showcase event. The event will now feature two All-Star teams, the Baseball United East All-Stars and Baseball United West All-Stars, engaging in a thrilling two-game series on November 24th and 25th, coinciding with Thanksgiving weekend in the United States.
This Showcase event underscores Baseball United’s commitment to unity and will be preceded by a weeklong schedule of community activities. The league aims to bring people together through the love of baseball and highlight the unity that has been a driving force behind its establishment.
Kash Shaikh, CEO, Chairman, and Majority Owner of Baseball United, expressed their enthusiasm for this new direction: “Unity is not only built into our name at Baseball United, it’s ingrained in our DNA. Instead of focusing on future sports rivalries, we wanted to celebrate the unity that has fueled our league since its inception. What better way to do that than spending Thanksgiving weekend in the UAE, watching our league’s best stars from diverse countries all playing with ‘United’ across their chests.”
The All-Star rosters will comprise 44 professional players, with at least 75% of them having Major League Baseball experience. The inaugural Baseball United Draft will now take place virtually on October 23rd, and the All-Star teams will be unveiled on October 25th. The Showcase will be hosted at the Dubai International Stadium.
Mubashshir Usmani, General Secretary of the Emirates Cricket Board, expressed his support for Baseball United’s decision to refine the event’s format. He anticipates a global fan gathering at the Dubai International Stadium for this premier event.
Tickets for the Baseball United All-Star Showcase will go on sale starting October 19th, with a special “early bird” pricing window available for the first seven days. Fans can purchase tickets at baseballunited.com/tickets or through the league’s ticketing partner, Platinumlist. Early bird ticket prices begin at 49 AED ($13) for Outfield Boxes and 199 AED ($54) for luxury Diamond Club seats behind Homeplate. Don’t miss this historic event that promises to unite baseball enthusiasts from around the world.
