Dubai, UAE – The Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) has teamed up with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) under the UAE-AID umbrella to support the Palestinian people affected by the conflict in Gaza. Their collaboration is part of the UAE’s ‘Tarahum – for Gaza’ campaign, aimed at providing vital humanitarian assistance to those impacted by the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

PAD will play a crucial role as a collection point in the city and ensure that the generous donations from the community reach ERC for further distribution. This initiative aligns with the UAE’s deep-rooted humanitarian values and reflects its commitment to offering support in times of crisis.

Zahid Hassan, General Secretary of PAD, expressed pride in the partnership with ERC and emphasized the importance of strengthening the UAE’s efforts in this essential humanitarian mission. He extended his gratitude to the UAE authorities, the Community Development Authority, and ERC for providing the Pakistani community in Dubai with the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution towards relieving the suffering in Palestine.

The ongoing conflict has taken a severe toll on the most vulnerable, with over one million children affected. Nearly half of the Gaza Strip’s population comprises young children, highlighting the urgency of the situation. Faisal Sunka, Head of PAD’s Welfare Committee, urged the community to step forward and support this critical cause, emphasizing that this is a unique opportunity to make a significant difference. He stressed the need for unity in efforts to provide much-needed assistance to those affected by the tragedy unfolding in Gaza, thereby standing in solidarity with the UAE in offering hope to countless lives in despair.
