The Journey from Content Creator to Skincare Entrepreneur
Salama’s journey from content creator to skincare entrepreneur was deeply personal. Her experience of feeling like a “minority within a minority” due to her Vitiligo from a young age prompted her to create skincare products that were suitable for both herself and others in a similar situation.

Peacefull: More Than Just Skincare
“Peacefull” represents Salama’s personal journey towards finding inner peace with her own skin and embracing her true self. Her brand not only offers skincare but also symbolizes the concept of inner peace, self-acceptance, and diversity.

Overcoming Self-Doubt
Even after the remarkable success of the Peacefull brand, Salama admitted to grappling with self-doubt. She shared how the brand, being an Emirati-founded skincare line, exceeded her expectations by selling out within the first nine days of its launch. The initial rush led to product shortages, requiring a four-month wait for restocking.

Stringent Quality Testing
To ensure that Peacefull products were suitable for the Middle Eastern market, they underwent rigorous testing. Salama exposed her products to a scorching 50-degree heat environment for three months, replicating the challenging conditions of the UAE climate. This test aimed to evaluate the packaging’s resilience and its ability to preserve product integrity without compromising quality. Salama’s commitment to excellence led her to patent every product and source the finest packaging.

Authentic Representation
Salama emphasized that Peacefull is not just another influencer brand. Instead, it relies on real people with real skin issues to authentically represent and showcase the brand’s commitment to inclusivity.

A Champion for Change
Salama Mohamed is an advocate for changing the narrative in beauty representation. She firmly believes that the industry needs to stand up for itself, advocating for products that cater to diverse needs without marginalizing any group. She emphasized that every consumer deserves the best, regardless of their background.

When asked if she would do it all again, her resounding answer was “100%.” She advises aspiring entrepreneurs to remain curious, ask questions, learn about every aspect of their business, and not rely solely on others.

Salama Mohamed’s entrepreneurial journey serves as a testament to the power of determination, inclusivity, and unwavering commitment to one’s vision in the beauty industry.
