Emirates Publishers Association and Writers Union Collaborate for Flourishing Publishing Sector

Sharjah, UAE – Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) and the Emirates Writers Union have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration and knowledge exchange within the UAE’s publishing industry. The agreement, signed by H.E. Abdullah Al Kaabi, President of the EPA Board, and H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Amimi, Chairman of the Emirates Writers Union, aims to promote copyright protection and strengthen the publishing sector.

Under this MoU, both organizations will share expertise, experiences, and information to enrich the knowledge sector, supporting publishers and writers while enhancing their global competitiveness. They will also collaborate on cultural events, empower participation in local and international events, and streamline communication channels between their members.

The EPA will explore opportunities to distribute its members’ works on the Menassah distribution platform, fostering commercial success and wider outreach. H.E. Abdullah Al Kaabi emphasized the significance of this collaboration in advancing the UAE’s publishing sector and cultural development.

H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Amimi praised the EPA’s role in nurturing the publishing sector and expressed optimism that the MoU would enhance writers’ capabilities and promote their works internationally. This agreement signifies a new phase in consolidating authorship, writing, and publishing in the UAE, ultimately strengthening the nation’s culture and supporting the industry’s international competitiveness.
