Dubai, UAE – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has unveiled plans to host five international trade fairs in early 2024, offering a strategic platform for UAE and regional traders to expand into new markets. The events, including the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, and others, aim to elevate bilateral trade relations between the UAE and Hong Kong.
As of September 2023, the UAE ranks as Hong Kong’s 11th largest trading partner, with a trade value of AED 47 billion. The upcoming fairs, scheduled for January and February, target buyers, distributors, and retailers from the UAE, fostering business opportunities and global market access.
Mr. Daniel Lam, Regional Director – MEA, HKTDC, expressed anticipation for increased participation from UAE-based companies. The fairs will showcase themed zones, focusing on different industry sectors and utilizing HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ hybrid model along with the “Click2Match” online platform for efficient business matching.
The 50th Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, 15th Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, and 22nd Hong Kong International Stationery & School Supplies Fair are set to take place from January 8-11, 2024, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The events will feature a hybrid model and online platform extending from January 1-18, facilitating global connections beyond geographical limits.
Additionally, the 10th HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show (Feb 27 – Mar 2, 2024) and the 40th Hong Kong International Jewellery Show (Feb 29 – Mar 4, 2024) will showcase raw materials and finished fine jewelry, emphasizing themed zones, buyer forums, and networking events. The “Click2Match” platform will be available from February 20 to March 11, 2024.
