Dubai, UAE – Beautyworld Middle East 2023, the largest international trade fair for the beauty and wellness industry in the Middle East, achieved unprecedented success this year, breaking records in both attendance and participation. Organized by Messe Frankfurt Middle East and held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from October 30th to November 1st, the event hosted over 65,000 visitors, marking a remarkable 23% increase from the previous year.

The event, spanning across 15 halls, showcased the latest trends, innovations, and products in the beauty and personal care industry. With awards, competitions, and conference insights, Beautyworld Middle East 2023 provided a platform for local and international suppliers, brands, businesses, and beauty professionals to network and explore opportunities.

The surge in international participation underlines the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region’s growing significance as a key driver in the global beauty and wellbeing industry. McKinsey & Company projects the Middle East and Africa’s beauty and personal care market to reach $47 billion by 2027, attracting attention from industry players worldwide.

Flyn Roberts, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, expressed excitement about the event’s success, stating, “Beautyworld Middle East has proven itself as the industry’s chosen platform for connection, inspiration, and global trade opportunities.” Roberts highlighted the impressive growth in international attendance, with a 33% increase from the Asia Pacific region and 28% from both the Americas and the GCC.

International exhibitors found success in penetrating the regional market, with 37 companies from Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, capitalizing on the growing interest in Korean beauty. Manifest Cosmetics, a US-based company, chose Beautyworld Middle East for its regional launch, emphasizing the opportunity to introduce products and receive valuable feedback.

Soneri Care, a Pakistan-based company, exhibited alongside 35 other companies from the country, emphasizing the significance of meeting clients from diverse countries and exploring new markets.

The event featured pavilions from various countries, including Pakistan, China, Italy, Japan, Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States, showcasing a wide range of beauty and wellness products and services.

Highlights of Beautyworld Middle East 2023 included the Next in Beauty Conference, the Front Row by Nazih Group stage with demonstrations from global educators, and the Nail It! competition. The Beautyworld Middle East Awards recognized outstanding contributions to the industry, with Ali Asgar Fakhruddin, CEO of Sterling Perfume Industries, receiving a lifetime achievement award.

The ‘Signature Scent’ competition crowned Jean-François Thizon, Perfumer at Parfex, as the winner with his fragrance ‘Golden Light’ selected as the official scent for Beautyworld Middle East 2024.

The 28th edition of Beautyworld Middle East is scheduled to take place at DWTC from October 28th to 30th, 2024, promising attendees unparalleled opportunities to expand professional networks and discover new products in one of the world’s key trade hubs.
