News DeskDubai, UAE – Major General Dr. Adel Al Suwaidi, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, presided over a “Tolerance Event” held at Winchester School in collaboration with the “Positive Spirit” initiative of the General Department for Community Happiness, the General Department for Logistics Support, and the Dubai Police Academy.
The event, attended by various dignitaries including Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Marri, Deputy Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, emphasized the UAE’s dedication to celebrating tolerance, a value deeply ingrained in the nation’s ethos. Major General Al Suwaidi highlighted the UAE’s international standing as a melting pot of over 200 nationalities coexisting in harmony, respect, and joy, irrespective of race, religion, or color.
He underlined the role of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in establishing the foundations of tolerance in the Emirates, reflecting the principles of the noble religion and authentic Arab values. Major General Al Suwaidi also acknowledged the efforts of Dubai Police, under the leadership of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, in embedding tolerance as a core value in police work through initiatives, workshops, and specialized seminars.
The event concluded with a student sports activity organized in collaboration with the Positive Spirit initiative, featuring fast-paced walking, fitness exercises, recreational games, and educational lectures on the importance of regular exercise and its adoption as a sustainable lifestyle. The holistic approach of the event showcased the commitment of Jebel Ali Police Station to fostering a culture of tolerance and well-being within the community.
