Dubai, UAE – The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, the Arab World’s premier celebration of stories and ideas, is gearing up for its 16th edition, promising a stellar lineup of internationally acclaimed authors. Set to take place from January 31 to February 6, 2024, at the Intercontinental, Dubai Festival City, the festival is organized with the generous support of Title Sponsor Emirates Airline and Founding Partner Dubai Culture & Arts Authority. The event operates under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Distinguished Authors to Grace the Festival: The festival is proud to host a diverse array of literary luminaries, including Booker Prize-winning author and President of the Royal Society of Literature, Bernardine Evaristo, renowned shoe designer and author Sophia Webster, and Eliza Reid, the First Lady of Iceland, known for her advocacy in gender equality and the arts. Other notable attendees include Egyptian graphic novelist Deena Mohamed, jewelry artist Azza Al Qubaisi, and the multifaceted critic, journalist, and fiction writer Ibrahim Farghali. Returning to the Emirates LitFest stage are Booker Prize-winning poet and novelist Ben Okri OBE, children’s writer Andy Stanton, and Emirati poet Amal Al Sahlawi.
