Nicholas Pooran, the West Indies heavy hitter, will continue to lead defending champions Deccan Gladiators. Kieron Pollard and Moeen Ali will captain New York Strikers and Morrisville Samp Army, respectively, aiming to build on their runner-up performances from the previous season.
Other leadership changes include Charith Asalanka taking over as captain for The Chennai Braves, Angelo Mathews leading the Northern Warriors, Rovman Powell captaining Delhi Bulls, Dwaine Pretorius heading Team Abu Dhabi, and Benny Howell surprising as the captain for Bangla Tigers.
All captains expressed their intentions for the season at the press conference. Pooran, the highest run-scorer in the previous edition, aims to secure a record third title for Gladiators. Mathews, leading Northern Warriors, is eager to bring another trophy to the team, emphasizing the exciting nature of the T10 format. Asalanka acknowledges the big shoes to fill in leading The Chennai Braves after Sikandar Raza, expressing excitement and setting the goal of making the playoffs.
