Dubai, UAE – Samsung Gulf Electronics showcased the revolutionary features of its Family Hub™ Refrigerator at an exclusive event in Dubai. The smart fridge, touted as the industry’s most intelligent, introduces cutting-edge technology to enhance connectivity and entertainment in households.

The Family Hub™ refrigerator integrates AI features for automated meal planning and personalized experiences, making it the cornerstone of connected homes. Through the SmartThings App, users can seamlessly control various smart devices, manage activities, and share media and notes directly from the fridge’s screen.

DooHee Lee, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics, expressed the company’s belief in transforming lives through connected home technology. The Family Hub™ refrigerator, with 22 apps, offers a comprehensive home view, facilitating tasks like online shopping, accessing recipes, and enhancing home security.

The appliance’s AI image recognition and View Inside internal camera streamline the shopping experience by allowing users to check fridge contents remotely. The Samsung Food app, featuring over 10,000 recipes, simplifies cooking with personalized meal planning based on user preferences and fridge contents.

The Family Hub™ refrigerator also doubles as a multimedia hub, boasting a 25W speaker and connectivity for up to 6 screens. It mirrors content from Samsung Smart TVs and phones, creating an entertaining and connected kitchen experience.

In addition to the refrigerator launch, Samsung introduced its SmartThings Energy platform, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability at the COP28 climate conference. SmartThings Energy empowers users to control energy consumption, achieving up to 70% in energy savings through AI optimization.

President Lee highlighted Samsung’s contributions to a sustainable future, emphasizing eco-conscious products and technologies. The SmartThings Energy platform, the first of its kind to earn ENERGY STAR® certification, enables users to monitor and control their home’s energy consumption effectively.

Samsung collaborates with partners like Aqara and iSmartHome to create a comprehensive connected home experience. The Smart Home market in the UAE is projected to grow at a robust yearly rate of 11.13%, with Samsung having 2.3 million registered SmartThings users in the country. The company’s focus aligns with the UAE’s vision for Smart Cities, offering users a smart, sustainable lifestyle tailored to their needs.
