Dubai, UAE – VFS Global, a trusted partner of the UK Government since 2003, has successfully clinched the global contract for overseas UK visa and citizenship services. The contract, awarded in 2024, entails the deployment of 240 Visa and Citizenship Application Service (VCAS) Centres in 142 countries, spanning Africa & the Middle East, Americas, Australasia & Europe, China & Taiwan, and Asia & Asia Pacific regions. These centers are anticipated to collectively process approximately 3.8 million applicants annually.

The deployment is not only expansive but also focused on enhancing customer experience and accessibility. VFS Global plans to invest in new customer websites, improve in-person interactions, and leverage the latest technologies for robust identity verification. The contract is expected to yield cost savings for the UK Government.

Zubin Karkaria, Founder and CEO of VFS Global, expressed delight in expanding their partnership with the UK Home Office, emphasizing their commitment to providing seamless, secure, and simple visa and passport application experiences worldwide.

In addition to the VCAS Centres, VFS Global intends to broaden its network of paid application centers by partnering with popular hotels and resorts, bringing the visa application process closer to customers. This strategic move follows VFS Global’s recent achievements, including being awarded the global biometric collection service mandate with Australia and the renewal of the global visa service contract with Sweden.

The UK, a favored destination for global travelers, sees India, China, Nigeria, and Turkey as its top four application locations, according to government statistics.
