Dubai, UAE – Yash Naresh Rathod, an 11-year-old grade 6 student from the UAE, has clinched the third position at the 20th International Math and Science Olympiad (IMSO). Outshining 276 participants worldwide, Yash secured a bronze medal in the mathematics category, with contenders from Tajikistan and Mongolia claiming the first and second spots.
Participating students must pass a rigorous selection process by the International Olympiad Foundation (IOF) to qualify for IMSO. Yash, from Allen Overseas, is among the top 6 students selected annually to represent the UAE on the international stage.
Yash shared, “Participating in IMSO was a challenging yet rewarding experience. Managing my time with school assignments while preparing for the Olympiad was tough, but with the support of my parents, friends, and teachers, I navigated through. My math coach at Allen Overseas played a crucial role in helping me cope with exam stress and prepare seamlessly.”

In addition to Yash’s achievement, Shubham Tejas Mehta, a grade 10 student from Allen Overseas, represented Qatar in the International Junior Science Olympiad 2023, securing a bronze medal.
The IMSO platform brought together 276 students from 19 countries, promoting academic excellence, innovation, and international cooperation in education. UAE’s success underscores its commitment to fostering global intellectual capabilities and contributing significantly to international academic initiatives.
