Dubai, UAE – Studio Al Sanaa, an initiative of the Dubai Police, organised an educational trip for the students of Hemaya School to the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi.
This visit aimed to enhance the artistic talents of the students by developing skills in observation, analysis, composition, colour use, and understanding light and shadow values.
Engineer Moza Al Suboosi, the initiative’s coordinator, stated that such educational trips significantly enhance the students’ artistic capabilities, nurturing their talent and allowing them to discover important aspects of global artistic works. “The visit also polished the skills of Hemaya School students, allowing them to observe the works of renowned international artists and fostering an interactive environment for learning and benefiting from these artists’ experiences,” she said.
She highlighted that this artistic visit is crucial in raising the students’ artistic awareness in visual arts. “It aids in the gradual development of drawing skills, enhancing creativity, concentration, perceptual and sensory awareness, understanding of mass and proportion, two-dimensional shape drawing, silhouettes, and expressing different lighting and textures,” she noted.
Al Suboosi added that Studio Al Sanaa’s initiative is rich in teaching the fundamentals of drawing on a scientifically accurate basis. She emphasised that “mastering drawing is not easy and requires years of practice and training to observe development and proficiency. Therefore, it’s important not to rush the students’ progress but to encourage them at their own pace. Attention to their work, listening to their opinions, and discussing their work are crucial. Positive guidance, offering suggestions and ideas instead of focusing on mistakes, and sharing joy in their achievements is vital for their development.”
