AJMAN, UAE – The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is excited to unveil the upcoming second edition of “Bawh Al Qawafi,” a prestigious poetry evening seamlessly blending Emirati heritage with the art of poetry. The event is scheduled to take place at the Ajman Museum on December 29, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The evening promises to captivate enthusiasts and patrons with the poetic brilliance of three distinguished Emirati poets: Omar Al-Lahimd, Muhammad Al-Nawah Al-Menhali, and Muhammad bin Hammad Al-Kaabi. Renowned poet Jassim Al-Obaidli will moderate the event, adding expertise and insight to the proceedings.
Attendees can anticipate more than poetry recitals, as the event will feature various musical and artistic performances, a curated photo gallery in collaboration with the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Foundation, and a local product market supported by productive families.
As part of the “Bawh Al Qawafi” activities, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development invites attendees to explore Abdullah Khan’s photography exhibition, “The Emirates in the Eye’s Lexicon,” running from December 29 to 31, between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm, in collaboration with the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Foundation.
Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of The Ajman Department of Tourism Development, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting its pivotal role in promoting heritage and culture in Ajman. He thanked the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation for their support in preserving and promoting Emirati heritage.
Alhashmi noted, “Through such events, we aim to boost tourism and diversify cultural offerings, aligning with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030.” He extended gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, and Chairman of Ajman Executive Council, for his unwavering support of cultural and artistic events, contributing significantly to enhancing Ajman’s cultural landscape.
