Dubai Police Introduces ‘Universal Accessibility Pack’ on Website

Dubai, UAE – In line with the national commitment to empower people of determination and Dubai’s ‘My Community… A City for Everyone’ initiative, the Dubai Police, through its People of Determination Empowerment Council, has introduced the ‘Universal Accessibility Pack’ service on its website. The initiative, spearheaded by Major Abdullah Hamad Al Shamsi, aims to enhance accessibility and user-friendly services for individuals with determination.

Major Al Shamsi, Chairman of the People of Determination Empowerment Council, highlighted the dedication of Dubai Police, guided by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, to facilitate easy access to diverse services. The initiative aligns with the leadership’s vision to improve the happiness and quality of life for people of determination.

The ‘Universal Accessibility Pack’ is accessible on the Dubai Police website by clicking on the ‘People of Determination’ logo. The service offers various features, including a smart reader program, virtual sign language translator, assistance settings for attention deficit and reading difficulties, support for epilepsy seizures, and color contrast for visual impairments. It also includes an enlarged mouse cursor and has content translated into 131 languages.

The service allows users to customize their experience with options like preferred font types, character spacing, word spacing, line spacing, text size, text alignment, and colors. Major Al Shamsi emphasized the provision of a dedicated website map for seamless service access for individuals with determination. The launch reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to inclusivity and ensuring equal access to essential services.
