Dubai, UAE – SkyBlue Media, a renowned out-of-home (OOH) marketing entity, has received commendation from the Public Transport Department of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for its impactful contribution to Dubai’s mobility plans during the COP28 conference. The recognition follows a successful branding campaign executed in collaboration with RTA, marking a new government-partnered initiative.
In conjunction with the 28th meeting of COP28 UAE, SkyBlue Media, the exclusive OOH media partner for the Bus Fleet, executed a noteworthy campaign wrapping over 98 public buses with COP28-inspired materials. The initiative, aimed at bringing global environmental initiatives to life, seamlessly aligned with the prestigious status of the UAE and specifically, the Emirate of Dubai.
Dato Manikandamurthy Velayoudam, Group Chairman & Managing Director of SkyBlue Media, expressed his enthusiasm, emphasizing the collaboration’s success as a testament to shared commitment to excellence. He conveyed gratitude to the RTA for the recognition, stating that it motivates and fuels their commitment to innovation and sustainability in campaigns.
Despite tight timelines, SkyBlue Media demonstrated remarkable agility by wrapping 81 Volvo buses, 7 Coach buses, and 10 electric buses for COP28. The fleet served as the exclusive transportation for COP28 delegates, efficiently shuttling them between hotels and the conference venue.
SkyBlue Media’s visually striking wraps effectively turned buses into mobile canvases, extending the reach of COP28 messages beyond the conference venue. The use of high-quality, eco-friendly, and weather-resistant materials ensured vibrant colors and a lasting impact despite Dubai’s changing weather conditions.
The accolade received by SkyBlue Media further highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability, with a mention of being the first OOH media company in Malaysia to operate billboards with 100% renewable energy. This aligns with SkyBlue’s core mission of contributing positively to the environment through responsible advertising practices.
