Dubai, UAE – Dubai’s toll gate operator, Salik Company PJSC, has unveiled plans to add two new toll gates in strategic locations. Positioned at Business Bay Crossing on Al Khail Road and Al Safa South on Sheikh Zayed Road, these additions aim to optimize traffic flow and alleviate congestion on crucial routes. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially entrusted Salik with this initiative, based on extensive traffic studies.

The chosen locations are part of a comprehensive strategy to manage traffic distribution and ease congestion by redirecting some traffic to alternative routes with higher capacity. Scheduled to commence operations by November 2024, these toll gates will bring Salik’s total count in Dubai from eight to ten.

Notably, Al Safa South will be integrated with the existing Al Safa gate, allowing commuters to be charged only once within one hour if they pass through both gates in the same direction. This move aims to enhance the efficiency of travel for all motorists in Dubai.
