Abu Dhabi, UAE – Heléne Bittmann has taken over the role of Managing Director for Saab UAE, succeeding Anna-Karin Rosén. Rosén played a crucial role in bolstering Saab UAE’s position since her appointment in 2018. Prior to her new role, Bittmann served as the Head of Saab AB’s production and development facility in Abu Dhabi’s Tawazun Industrial Park.

As the former head of the facility, Bittmann was responsible for overseeing operations, setting strategic direction, and expanding market position and product portfolio. Holding the rank of Major, she brings a wealth of experience from her distinguished career in the Swedish Armed Forces, spanning tactical, operational, and strategic levels.

Saab UAE, with a current workforce of over 150 employees, is experiencing growth under the leadership of Bittmann. The company’s development and production site in Tawazun Industrial Park aims to leverage innovation and industry knowledge, contributing to world-class Emirati defence and security solutions. Bittmann expressed her commitment to deepening ties with local partners and exploring collaboration opportunities, ensuring sustained success and growth in the UAE. Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s business area Surveillance, believes Bittmann’s leadership will accelerate the company’s expansion plans and reinforce its regional footprint.

Saab remains dedicated to its mission as an active contributor and supporter of the UAE’s defence sector, aligning with national priorities and global needs.
