Dubai Tourist Police Train Hospitality Professionals on Security Services

Dubai, UAE – Employees of six hotels in the Marina area attended a workshop on smart police services, security procedures, and public safety measures, organised by the Dubai Tourist Police Department in cooperation with other authorities.

The workshop, held at the JW Marriott Hotel Marina, aimed to familiarise the hotel staff with the safest ways to serve Dubai visitors and tourists and ensure their happiness and satisfaction.

Brigadier Khalfan Al Jallaf, Director of the Dubai Tourist Police Department, said that the workshop was part of the department’s efforts to promote security awareness in hotels and resorts, especially considering Dubai’s reputation as a global tourist destination.

He added that the workshop also aimed to enhance awareness about Dubai Police services tailored to the needs of tourists and visitors, ensuring effective engagement with this specific demographic.

The workshop covered various topics, such as fire prevention, incident response, first-aid procedures, communication channels, emergency management, drug risks, cybercrime, e-crime platform, Smart Police Stations, Lost & Found system, and how and when to contact the police.

Several Dubai Police departments participated in the workshop, including the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, the Cyber Investigations Department, the Lost and Found Department, the Criminal and Administrative Investigation Department, and the Call Centre 901.

The workshop was also organised in collaboration with the Department of Economy and Tourism, the General Directorate of Civil Defence-Dubai, and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.
