Dubai, UAE – The Arab Health Exhibition and Congress 2024, the largest healthcare event in the Middle East, was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE.
The four-day event, which runs from 29 January to 1 February at the Dubai World Trade Centre, is expected to attract more than 51,000 attendees from 180 countries, as well as 3,450 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations and solutions in healthcare.
The theme of this year’s edition is ‘Connecting Minds, Transforming Healthcare’, reflecting the aim of fostering collaboration and learning among healthcare stakeholders. The event features ten Continuing Medical Education (CME) conferences covering various topics such as radiology, surgery, emergency medicine, and public health.
Ross Williams, Exhibition Director for Informa Markets, the organiser of Arab Health, said that the event is a “game-changing” opportunity for the healthcare industry to exchange ideas, network, and discover new technologies and products that can enhance patient care and outcomes.
The opening day also featured keynote speeches by Dr Ramadan Al Balooshi from Dubai Health Authority and Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah from the World Health Organisation, who shared their insights on the challenges and opportunities for public health in the post-COVID-19 era.
