Ajman, UAE – Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is set to enhance the tourism landscape in the emirate through a pioneering collaboration with 4- and 5-star hotels. The “Training Chefs of Hotel Establishments on Emirati Popular and Traditional Dishes” initiative, spearheaded by renowned Emirati chef Khuloud Ateg, aims to introduce tourists to authentic Emirati cuisine ahead of Ramadan 2024.
The strategic alliance seeks to not only strengthen Emirati identity but also enhance the overall tourism experience. Recognizing the significant role of culinary experiences in tourism, the ADTD is partnering with esteemed hotels to promote Emirati culinary traditions and position Ajman as a culinary destination.
His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, expresses enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasizing its role in creating a more immersive visit for guests. The interactive courses, held at Ajman Hotel, will cover main dishes and traditional desserts, allowing participants to apply their skills during Ramadan.
Ms. Sarah Al Suwaidi, Head of the Strategic Partner Relations Department, highlights the initiative’s alignment with ADTD’s mission to attract tourists and offer distinctive experiences. The Emirati Main Course sessions from February 5th to 7th and Emirati Pastry and Bakery Course from February 12th to 13th promise an immersive learning experience guided by Chef Khuloud Ateg.
This initiative underscores Ajman’s commitment to blending cultural richness with culinary excellence, positioning the emirate as a must-visit destination for travelers seeking an authentic Emirati experience.
