Ajman, UAE – Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is gearing up for a series of pioneering projects and workshops throughout February in alignment with “UAE Innovates 2024,” the world’s largest event celebrating innovation. His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, highlighted the significance of these events in fostering an innovative environment and inspiring further accomplishments among employees, partners, and the community.
Initiatives include the establishment of a startup theater at Marsa Ajman, unveiling a digital system for internal auditing of local influences, and introducing a digital tourism data map. Utilizing modern technology and AI, creative tourism promotional stories will be presented to cater to tourists’ preferences.
Workshops such as “Let’s Recycle It” for People of Determination and a creative art of carpets workshop by Bahraini artist Hamd Hardan aim to promote sustainability and innovative art forms. Other workshops include drawing on stones to utilize natural resources innovatively.
ADTD is also organizing a tourism innovation retreat and launching the Tourism Innovation Award for university students in Ajman to foster innovative solutions to tourism challenges. These initiatives highlight Ajman’s commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and positioning itself as a hub for innovation in the tourism sector.
