Dubai, UAE – In a heartwarming initiative, the Dubai Police, through the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments, has collaborated with the Emirates Red Crescent to launch the ‘Winter Clothing’ initiative. Aimed at bringing joy and happiness to 19 children of inmates, the program provided warm winter clothes, shoes, and blankets to the children.
Brigadier Marwan Abdul Karim Julfar, Director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments, emphasized the community-oriented efforts of Dubai Police in bringing happiness not only to inmates but also to their families. He highlighted the importance of collaborative initiatives in preparing inmates for reintegration into society and promoting positive values such as tolerance, love, and generosity.
Captain Mariam Al Muhairi, Head of the Inmates Affairs Section in the Women’s Prison Department, reiterated the department’s commitment to the well-being of inmates and their children. She emphasized the importance of providing a positive environment for the children, including access to meals, medical check-ups, and primary education. Furthermore, she expressed the department’s eagerness to launch initiatives that bring joy and happiness to both mothers and their children, fostering an atmosphere of tolerance, unity, and positivity within the facility.
