Bloomberg Media, SRMG announce first-ever Power Players Summit in Jeddah

Dubai, UAE – Bloomberg Media and SRMG have announced the inaugural Bloomberg Power Players Summit, Powered by Asharq Business with Bloomberg, to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on March 7, 2024. The event, coinciding with the Formula One Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, aims to convene key figures from the realms of sports, entertainment, and technology to discuss potential disruptions and investments in these industries.

Hosted by Bloomberg’s Business of Sports Chief Correspondent, Jason Kelly, the summit will delve into various topics including the influence of private equity in sports investing, evolving dynamics in football particularly in the MENA region, and emerging opportunities in esports.

Confirmed speakers for the summit include notable figures such as Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, H.E. Khalid Al-Falih, McLaren CEO Zak Brown, and Formula One Academy Managing Director, Susie Wolff, among others. With over 150 esteemed guests expected to attend, the event’s content will be globally accessible through Asharq News, Asharq Business with Bloomberg, and Bloomberg’s various media platforms.

Karen Saltser, CEO of Bloomberg Media, highlighted the significance of the summit as a platform for meaningful conversations within the evolving socio-economic landscape of Saudi Arabia. Jomana R. Alrashid, CEO of SRMG, emphasized the opportunity for exchange and investment discussion in the rapidly growing sports industry, underlining Saudi Arabia’s role as a key innovator in this space.

The Bloomberg Power Players Summit builds upon the existing content agreement between SRMG and Bloomberg Media, which has facilitated the expansion of media platforms focusing on business news and financial insights in the region since its inception in 2018.
