News DeskAbu Dhabi, UAE – The Abu Dhabi Festival, one of the region’s most prestigious cultural events, presented the Arab World Premiere of the renowned piano duo Lucas & Arthur Jussen on February 19th at The Red Theater, The Arts Center NYU Abu Dhabi. The Dutch brothers, who are considered among the best piano duos in the world, performed a diverse programme of classical works by Mozart, Schumann, Widmann, Debussy, and Rachmaninoff, captivating the audience with their musicality and artistry.
The event was part of the Abu Dhabi Festival’s twenty-first edition, which aims to enrich the cultural landscape of Abu Dhabi and promote its global reputation as a centre for the arts and creators. Her Excellency Huda Ibrahim Alkhamis, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) and Artistic Director of the Abu Dhabi Festival, praised the duo’s performance and highlighted the festival’s mission of fostering cultural dialogue and exchange through the power of music.
The performance was also attended by over 300 students from Abu Dhabi, who had the opportunity to interact with the duo and learn from their inspiring creative journey. Lucas & Arthur Jussen expressed their gratitude and honour to perform in the Arab world for the first time and to share their passion for classical music with the Abu Dhabi Festival audience.
