Dubai, UAE – Dubai Chambers on Thursday and its affiliated entities unveiled a slew of remarkable achievements during their annual media briefing at the chambers’ headquarters. The briefing showcased the concerted efforts made towards advancing the objectives outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and underscored the pivotal role played by Dubai Chambers in bolstering the emirate’s business ecosystem.

Record Membership Growth and Export Milestones

Dubai Chamber of Commerce witnessed an unprecedented surge in membership, with 67,222 new companies joining its ranks in 2023, marking a significant milestone in its history. This remarkable achievement, coupled with a 20% year-over-year growth, underscores the attractiveness of Dubai as a global business hub. Furthermore, the chamber facilitated substantial export activities, with members’ exports and re-exports surpassing AED 284 billion, reflecting a robust 4.3% increase.

Attracting Foreign Investments and Facilitating International Expansion

Dubai International Chamber made significant strides in attracting overseas businesses to the emirate, welcoming 138 foreign companies in 2023, including a notable influx of multinational corporations (MNCs) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The chamber’s efforts also facilitated the international expansion of 77 local companies, underscoring Dubai’s appeal as a preferred destination for global enterprises.

Digital Leadership and Innovation

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy emerged as a catalyst for advancing Dubai’s digital transformation agenda, attracting nine MNCs and over 549 high-tech startups to the emirate. The chamber’s initiatives, including the ‘Create Apps in Dubai’ initiative and the hosting of Expand North Star, underscore Dubai’s commitment to nurturing digital entrepreneurship and innovation.

Global Outreach and Investment Promotion

Dubai International Chamber expanded its global footprint with the establishment of 16 new international representative offices, further solidifying its position as a key player in attracting foreign investments to Dubai. The chamber’s concerted efforts resulted in a substantial increase in foreign trade missions and visiting delegations, showcasing Dubai’s allure as a prime investment destination.
