Abu Dhabi, UAE – The 12th edition of the Meetings Arabia and Luxury Travel Congress (MALT Congress) concluded in grandeur at the Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi, offering a comprehensive outlook on the evolving landscape of the travel industry in the GCC region. Hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), in partnership with QnA International, the event served as a platform for over 200 speakers, partners, and stakeholders to delve into the future of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and luxury travel.

Abdulla Mohammad, Director of the International Operations Department at DCT Abu Dhabi, inaugurated the congress, emphasizing its significance in showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s status as a premier destination for tailored adventures. Moammar Mohammad al Marzooqi, Section Head of Meetings, Incentives & Weddings at the Abu Dhabi Convention & Exhibition Bureau, highlighted the Advantage Abu Dhabi program, aimed at positioning Abu Dhabi as a top spot for business events.

Sidh NC, Director at QnA International, expressed gratitude to sponsors, partners, and delegates for their support in elevating the Congress to new heights. The event featured keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, focusing on emerging trends in the industry.

Key highlights included insights shared by Dr. Paul Johnson, Editor of ‘A Luxury Travel Blog,’ who emphasized the growing demand for eco-friendly travel options and personalized experiences. The integration of AI technology was also discussed as a promising avenue for revolutionizing the travel experience.

Crystal Chan Busch, Executive Director of Sales at Sands Lifestyle Macao, emphasized the essence of travel in embracing cultural richness and personalized services, catering to the discerning tastes of travelers from the MENA/GCC region.

Julie Lewis, an Explorer Author, and Resilience Consultant, spoke about the transformative power of travel, highlighting the importance of safety, security, and sustainability in creating fulfilling journeys.

The Congress culminated with the MALT Excellence Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions in various categories, including Corporate Events, Incentive Programs, Association Events, and Destination Weddings.
