Cairo, Egypt – JLL, the esteemed professional services firm renowned for its expertise in real estate, investment management, and development consultancy, has unveiled the appointment of Ahmed Hemmat as the new Head of Project & Development Services (P&DS) for Egypt.

Ahmed Hemmat, a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the construction and mixed-use development sectors, is set to lead JLL’s P&DS division in Egypt. His illustrious career is marked by his leadership in high-value projects across Egypt and the UAE, including significant developments like Uptown Cairo and Cairo Gate.

Hemmat’s diverse experience, which spans roles as both a consultant and a client, has provided him with a unique perspective on the industry. His previous positions with leading organizations such as Emaar, Majid Al-Futaim, Turner, and Gleeds have established him as a respected figure in the field.

Elaine O’Connor, Head of P&DS for Egypt and Africa, expressed her confidence in Hemmat’s leadership, noting his track record and strategic vision. “Ahmed’s forward-thinking approach and commitment to excellence are instrumental in driving our business forward in Egypt,” she said.

Upon his appointment, Ahmed Hemmat shared his enthusiasm for the role, emphasizing his dedication to working with JLL’s talented team to deliver outstanding results for clients and to foster innovation and growth in the region.

JLL’s Project & Development Services span the Middle East & Africa with a robust team of over 600 consultants managing projects worth a total capital value of $30 billion. The services offered include development management, project and programme management, cost management, fit-out & workplace design, engineering design & sustainability, HSE, and digital solutions.

The strategic appointment of Ahmed Hemmat is anticipated to enhance JLL’s position in the Egyptian market, driving innovation and success in the region’s burgeoning real estate and development sectors.
