Rene’s Vast Experience to Enhance Jumeirah’s Premier Hospitality

DUBAI, UAE – Jumeirah Beach Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Rene Egle as its new General Manager, effective from 1 April 2024. With nearly four decades of experience in luxury hospitality and hotel operations, Egle’s leadership is expected to enhance the hotel’s commitment to excellence, aligning with Jumeirah’s Mission 2030 strategy.

Egle’s illustrious career spans over 20 years with Shangri-La, where he has worked across various countries including China, Indonesia, the UAE, Maldives, Mauritius, the Philippines, and Oman. He has also held significant positions at Kempinski and Swissotel in Europe, China, and South-East Asia.

A holder of a Business Degree from the Business School of Vormbruck Freiburg, Germany, and a graduate of the Google Squared Digital Marketing & Leadership Program 2018, Egle is also an accomplished author with works such as ‘Hotel Untold Stories I’ and ‘Hotel Untold Stories II Food & Beverage Private and Confidential.’

Thomas Meier, Interim CEO and COO of Jumeirah Group, expressed his enthusiasm for Egle’s appointment, citing his vast global experience as a valuable asset for Jumeirah’s future endeavors.

Egle shared his excitement about joining the iconic Jumeirah Beach Hotel, expressing his commitment to contributing to the legacy of the resort and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
