Community Solidarity Glows at Pakistan Medical Centre’s Dubai Iftar

Dubai, UAE – The Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) commemorated the holy month of Ramadan with a Gratitude Iftar, uniting over 350 supporters of the Pakistan Medical Centre (PMC), along with community leaders and dignitaries. The event underscored the spirit of giving and community solidarity. Since 2020, PMC, the GCC’s first not-for-profit healthcare facility and a PAD project, has significantly impacted over 73,000 individuals from more than 92 nationalities, providing services in over 33 medical specialties.

The gathering was honored by the presence of the Consul General of Pakistan, Hussain Muhammad. The evening also featured an art exhibition in partnership with Poetic Strokes, showcasing a variety of artworks from Pakistani artists, including calligraphies, landscapes, and abstracts. Ayesha Imtiaz of Poetic Strokes highlighted the artistic diversity and acknowledged the guests’ appreciation and generous donations.

Muhsin Al Banna, Chairperson of PMC Executive Committee, reiterated the center’s commitment to healthcare excellence, noting that 60% of PMC’s patients benefited from free services in 2023. He shared the organization’s goal to broaden its range of specialties to provide comprehensive healthcare services.

Zahid ul Hassan, PAD General Secretary, expressed profound thanks to the community for their consistent support of PAD’s initiatives. He reflected on the tradition of bringing the community together annually and the joy of witnessing collective support for a shared cause. He also outlined PAD’s welfare initiatives, which include distributing over 1500 food packages during Ramadan, hosting daily community iftars, planning an Eid Gift Distribution for over 200 families, and aiding in the repatriation of 200+ prisoners in collaboration with local authorities.

Zahid ul Hassan extended gratitude to the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, Dar Al Ber Society, and the Community Development Authority for their steadfast support in advancing PAD’s mission.

The Gratitude Iftar event by PAD exemplifies the essence of Ramadan, highlighting the organization’s dedication to serving the community through its extensive welfare initiatives.
