Dubai, UAE – Muhammad Jawadullah, a rising star in the UAE national cricket team, gained valuable experience during the recently concluded DP World ILT20 Season 2. He had the privilege of learning from Pakistan’s legendary pacer Mohammad Amir, who represented the Desert Vipers. Jawadullah focused on mastering reverse swing, a technique he believes can benefit fast bowlers in the UAE during the middle and death overs.
Despite the Sharjah Warriors’ campaign not going as planned in Season 2, Jawadullah found several positives and lessons. His individual performance was commendable, consistently bowling at speeds of 140-145 kmph. In just eight matches, he secured an impressive tally of 10 wickets with a strike rate of 13. His standout moment was a remarkable 3/5 bowling performance against the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.
Jawadullah’s success positioned him as a strong contender for the “Best UAE Player” accolade for the second consecutive season. He praised the DP World ILT20 as a catalyst for unearthing and nurturing talent in the region. The league’s emphasis on local players has contributed to its high quality, providing opportunities for UAE cricketers to shine globally.
Currently recovering from surgery, Jawadullah remains focused on restoring his fitness. He aims to make an impact in international leagues while contributing to UAE cricket’s growth.
