Dubai, UAE – Dubai’s diversified Danube Group has inaugurated a new mosque in Dubai Studio City. The mosque, designed with modern and state-of-the-art architecture, was opened in a ceremony attended by key figures from the Government of Dubai, residents of various cultures, and media personnel.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Rizwan Sajan, Founder and Chairman of Danube Group, along with Anis Sajan, Vice Chairman; Adel Sajan, Managing Director; Azhar Sajan, Director of Casa Milano; Sahil Sajan, Director of Milano, and other senior officials. The attendees offered prayers at the newly-opened Danube Mosque for Askerali Sajan, named after Rizwan Sajan’s late father.
The mosque, located in Al Hebiah Second near Glitz by the Danube in Dubai Studio City, was inaugurated by Gulbanu Askerali Sajan, Rizwan Sajan’s mother. Following the inauguration, hundreds of worshippers, both men and women, offered Taraweeh prayers.
The mosque, spread over 3,445 square meters, can accommodate more than 750 worshippers and provides an opportunity for thousands of residents in the vicinity to offer prayers five times a day. It also has dedicated parking for around 50 vehicles.
The contract to build the mosque was awarded to Prestige Construction LLC, a company with a track record of numerous infrastructure projects in the UAE. The mosque was delivered on time and opened on the 27th of Ramadan, one of the most auspicious days of the holy month.
In addition to this significant contribution to the community, the Danube Group has been involved in numerous charity initiatives. Earlier this year, the Group announced an AED 10 million contribution to the Mothers’ Endowment Campaign and also contributed to the ‘1 Billion Meals Endowment’ fund in 2023, among other initiatives.
