News DeskDubai, UAE – Choithrams supermarket has successfully raised AED 500,000 through its “Double Blessings” Ramadan initiative for the “Gaza In Our Hearts” campaign by Dubai Cares. The funds will provide hot meals, food baskets, and waterproof, fire-resistant tents for the people of Gaza.
The initiative, part of Choithrams’ 50th-anniversary celebrations, ran from 1 March to 10 April. Customers were invited to purchase ready-to-eat meals for AED 10 at Choithrams’ outlets, online stores, and delivery apps. A total of 10,000 meals were donated to the UAE Food Bank over 30 days.
Choithrams boosted the donation value by 50 times, contributing a total of AED 500,000 to Dubai Cares. L.T. Pagarani, Chairman of Choithrams Group, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received from customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Abdulla Ahmed Alshehhi, COO at Dubai Cares, thanked Choithrams and its customers for their remarkable contribution. Manal Obaid Yaroof, head of UAE Food Bank Committee, also appreciated the partnership with Choithrams and the generosity of its customers.
