Growing Automotive Aftermarket in Saudi Arabia: Projected $9.4 Billion Market by 2027

An industry leader in automotive aftermarket sales has revealed that Saudi Arabia’s performance is on an upward trajectory.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Automechanika Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s premier automotive aftermarket trade show, is set to return to the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC) from April 30 to May 2, 2024. This year’s event will focus on addressing the ongoing training requirements within the industry, reflecting the rapid evolution and growth of the automotive aftermarket in the Kingdom.

The exhibition will feature a dedicated training workshop on the final day, aimed at navigating the dynamic landscape of aftersales in the automotive sector. With the market projected to reach a value of US$9.4 billion by 2027, according to data by TechSci Research, the demand for specialized training is surging. Emerging technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs), advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and connected car features are driving the need for skilled professionals capable of providing top-notch service and support.

Farid Sfeir, Training and Operations Manager for Tiqani, emphasized the critical role of continuous learning for aftersales professionals in Saudi Arabia. He highlighted the importance of well-trained teams in enhancing customer satisfaction, fostering loyalty, and gaining a competitive edge in the market.

Despite significant market performance improvements in recent years, Sfeir believes there are still opportunities for further growth. He emphasized the need to enhance customer interactions and leverage data analysis for service efficiency.

The training workshop, scheduled for May 2, will provide participants with insights into various training programs, skill development opportunities, and strategies for staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies. Bilal Al Barmawi, CEO and Founder of 1st Arabia Trade Shows & Conferences, emphasized the pivotal role of training in advancing the automotive aftermarket in Saudi Arabia.

Aly Hefny, Show Manager of Automechanika Riyadh, highlighted the exhibition’s substantial growth, with a 448% increase in exhibitors, mirroring the rapid expansion of Saudi Arabia’s automotive aftermarket, recognized as the fastest-growing in the GCC.

In addition to the training workshop, the 6th edition of Automechanika Riyadh will showcase seven product focus areas, including Parts & Components, Tyres & Batteries, and Diagnostics & Repairs, providing a comprehensive platform for industry professionals to explore the latest innovations and forge meaningful connections.
